Helping families work together to co-parent. An educational program for families in transition. This program can help your family:
- Recognize how children are put in the middle
- Utilize good communication skills
- Help children lead happier, less stressful lives
How will the Children in the Middle program help me and my family?
The Children in the Middle Program teaches participants about the effects of divorce, and how parents can help themselves and their children cope better during this stressful transition. Parents can also learn good communication skills and how to help children lead happier less stressful lives. While this course is primarily designed for divorcing parents, the skills also apply to any parents who are co-parenting a child. Any parent may attend.
How does the Children in the Middle program work?
- Parents will attend two (2) group sessions of two (2) hours each for a total of four (4) hours of class on Wednesday evenings. You must attend both classes within the same month.
- Parents will attend separate sessions and must call individually for the course.
- In order to complete the course you must turn in your action plan and homework and attend the four (4) hour training.
- Upon completion of the course you will receive a certificate and a copy will be forwarded to the court.
- Parents will receive a six (6) part newsletter, "Common Ties" after they complete the program.
