Upcoming Schedule:

Keep coming to the website for future updates.

Volunteers Needed for Pleasure and Speed Shows

Just a reminder that there are still a lot of opportunities at the shows to complete your required volunteer hours.
Even if you have completed your requirement but would still like to help out, the council would appreciate that as well!
Attached is the current schedule of activities to sign up for. Please review, determine the best fit for you and send an email to me.
I will get you added to the schedule. My email address is mcmanamy@charter.net.
If you are not sure if you have met your required hours yet, please contact Beth Mislivecek by email at bmislivecek@yahoo.com.

Thank you to all that participated in and helped at the Columbia County Drill Team Fun Speed Show on Saturday.
The weather was great for the show and all involved appeared to be having a great time.
Congradulations to Brittany Carlson on winning the high point award. Brittany won a Columbia County Horse project "bag chair".
A picture is worth a thousand words, so here's some pictures from the show.

Thank you, Columbia County Drill Team

2009 Horse Quilt

Here are pictures of the quilt that the Columbia County 4H Horse project is selling. Tickets are 1 for $1 or 6 for $5. The pictures don't do the quilt justice. There is a lot of really neat detail in the quilt. There is a rope & "southwest theme" (cactus) around the center. There are horses around the edge, some of the squares are a 4H clover with horses around it. The sun rays are stitched like rays would be, the grass is detail stitched - I forgot what Janielle said they called it. The quilt is a queen bed size - 106x 96. If you need raffle tickets to sell, Janielle Hanson has them. If you just want to buy some tickets let me know and I will get you some. The machine quilting was donated by Country Quilts and Crafts in Randolf, WI at www.countryquiltsncrafts.com.
